Join the Edmonton Chamber Music Society for their Summer Solstice Music Festival from June 17-22.

ECMS is welcoming the summer sun with outstanding chamber music from world class musicians.

These performances will take place at Trinity Lutheran Church, 10014 81 Avenue NW.

From Lament to Light
This program explores the expressive power of chamber music across time, beginning with Giovanni Sollima’s Lamentatio, a visceral solo cello work that channels ancient lament traditions through a contemporary lens. The mood shifts with Dvorák’s charming Bagatelles, which blend folk-inspired rhythms and melodic warmth. Chopin’s late Polonaise-Fantasie offers a deeply introspective solo piano work, merging national dance form with rhapsodic freedom.The program culminates in Schumann’s Piano Quartet in E-flat major, a Romantic masterpiece full of lyrical richness, dynamic interplay, and emotional depth.
